Italian acetate
Mazzucchelli M49 sheets, vegetable-based, cut and rested four weeks before milling.

Acetate and titanium eyewear, designed in Annecy and hand-finished in Cadore. CR-39 lenses, riveted hinges, a single screwdriver to repair them — built to be worn a decade.
Each pair leaves the atelier after 22 hand-led steps. We sketch in Annecy, source acetate from Mazzucchelli, mill in Cadore, polish for nine days, then glaze your prescription in our partner lab. Nothing is rushed because nothing should be replaced soon.

"I bought the Oslo to replace a pair I'd had ten years. They survived two relocations, a kid pulling a temple off, and a North Sea storm. Irdae fixed all of it for free — and the frame looks better than the day it arrived."— Hélène · Lyon → Oslo

Irdae is run by Léa Marchand, an optometrist who spent eight years at Cubitts in London before returning to Annecy in 2019. Twelve people across two studios. Frames you can fit yourself — and a workshop above the lake where you're welcome to drop by.
